this is an awesome product i had one and it lasted me for four years before quitting on me it does get pretty hot and will dry and straighten wet hair i loved it my husband originally bought it for me for 39.98 so not really a cheap one

That will have to wait until after work tomorrow because I'm hopping in bed currently. As for the temperature, I'm not 100% sure. It gets hot enough to efficiently deal with SUPER thick frizzy hair like mine. And it has a 1-30 temp setting for dry, damp and wet hair.
