No, it takes a battery... I believe it's a C2032 (like a watch battery) but I'll have to look and be sure that's the right one.

Yes, it sure is. I want to be sure you know that is not a real phone though. It's a Demo they have at the Verizon stores so you can see what it's like before you buy. The top part slides up to reveal the keys.

This little thing would make a wonderful Stocking stuffer... or keep for yourself, it's so cute and very handy to have around... you can listen to the radio while you jog, take the kids to the park, waiting at the Dr. office, or wherever. It takes a CR2032 battery. Thanks for stopping by :)
