Description

The listing, Ridge Runner RR487 Tactical Folding Knife has ended.

Ridge Runner Tactical Pocket Knife
The Ridge Runner Tactical Folding Knife features a 3 1/4" stainless steel blade. Aluminum handle. 4" closed. Ridge Runner, RR487

***

Of the four I ordered, every one came sharp and the lock worked fine on all of them. The handle is plastic, the blade is thin and they just feel cheap, but they are still fully functional knives.

***

I bought a couple of these knifes To try them out and I was pleasently surprised at the quality of this knife. It came very sharp and I love how light it is. also it is an extreamly fast knife.. It opens at the flick of the wrist. I have used this knife at work alot and it is awesome! I just bought four more to give as gifts. You will never find a better knife at this price.

***

Convenient light weight knife with belt clip. Would give five stars but the blade lock is iffy. Make sure blade is locked open before using.

***

Knife looks and handles like it should cost much more than what I paid. I bought two for my sons and they both love it!

***

Good knife for what I bought it for to give away to my customers. Some started carrying it right away and love it. Well worth the price. Will buy more in the future.

***

I bought this knife for my young son who just earned his whittling chip. Its been a great knife for the money and being such if it gets lost it won't hurt the wallet to replace it.

***

Good knife. Buy it. The liner will get caught on the other side of the knife if you flick it open. But if you just use the thumb stud it will be fine the liner gets easeir to unlock once you use it. Comes VERY sharp. The handle may be plastic but if you arnt trying to really beat it up it snhould not break. For the price its good. Im satisfied.

***

very sharp and an exelent self defense knife, although slight closing problems overall one bad a**

What are they worth and are they really good knives?

It's an inexpensive knife, but as such, it's a perfectly serviceable knife. I often use one around the house for general chores: box/pkg cutting, whittling, cutting cord or rope, etc. and it performs all such tasks effortlessly. The knife is lightweight and easy to use, despite the fact that it's a fair sized knife. This means that your hand and arm don't tire as quickly during use and you can accomplish more.

In short, the answer to your question is: It's worth what you can accomplish with it, and, though in monetary terms it's an inexpensive tool that makes no attempt to disguise itself, it works as well as many a more expensive knife.

very sharp!! Factory sharp straight outta the box, the blade WILL cut you, so BE CAREFUL! Blade is half serrated so you get the advantages of both. Knife has clip on the side for Boot or Belt!

Oh, well, Beth259, of that I was unaware. And, apparently so are a whole BUNCH of people that currently or recently have/had auctions going wherein the knife in question had /has over 2" blades. Fact is, there are few knives worth having with a less than 2" blade....well, maybe as a novelty, or a hidden knife like a belt-buckle knife or neck-knife, or perhaps one of the tactical pen/knives with a hidden blade under the pen cap, but even these are usually longer than 2". Fact is, I just finished winning my 1st auction here on Listia, and guess what it was for? That's right, a pocket knife with a blade 31/2" long- GREAT BUY! So, while I don't wish to seem disputatious, the facts of the situation seem to indicate that, if there is, indeed, a limitation such as you quote, then that limitation is 1. not widely known, and 2. not enforced.
Is there some particular reason that you would involve yourself in a transaction in which you have obvious conflicts of interest? And if so, what can I, personally, do to put your worries at ease?

absolutely! the blade has both a smooth section for clean cutting, and a serrated section for cutting tough things or things that need to be sawed through, like small branches, etc. Very sharp, yet lightweight. locking blade so you don't hurt yourself, and a clip on the knife so you can afix it to your belt, backpack or boot. And, it's stainless steel and plastic, so no worries about it rusting. will work all round in a camping/hunting/fishing/hiking scenario, also boating, rafting, climbing, etc. It's a good all round knife, yet not a collector specimen that you'd worry about taking out and possibly losing or getting it scratched up or worse. This knife is just meant to be a knock around knife that's good for a myriad general duty jobs like you'll find on the farm, ranch, city parks or vacation setting- in short, where you are whatever you're doing.

Which other knife are we referring to? Although, I haven't been offerred that option when listing yet. Got the impression I have to 'prove' myself before I get to put a GIN on my listings. I've only had 1 listing 'won' so far, and the 3 I have running now... But, talk to me and we'll see what's up. Fanned back. too bad you don't have a cheap tablet...

Awesome auction! Mind if I steal your reply that you used towards Beth for any future knife auctions I may have? That was well played sir! :)

Hi juggalorick (interesting moniker),
By all means, feel free to use anything you think might help. I've never been a fan of those who see THEMSELVES as the moral authority within a community and who insist upon monitoring and correcting the membership.I generally find that if you bring their interference to light, and explain the ill logical basis for their stand, it removes their Authoritative soap box, so to speak. I haven't heard back from Beth, hopefully I won't! Really Great to hear from you, I fanned you, but looks like you have no listings up now...maybe later HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Your images show 2 knifes and I had thought you said this listing was only for one of them? I was asking if you were willing to GIN the other knife in the picture but understand you are a new seller. What did you mean a cheap tablet though? Lol

Oh, I see. I have 3 different knives on Listia, currently, so was unsure which you meant. But if you mean the Ridge Runner, then YES, I would GIN the other one (assuming that I CAN do so, and can figure out how). I wasn't offered that option when I listed any of my 4 auctions, so I'm unsure when I'll be eligible for that manner of offering. OK, JUST TRIED TO LIST W/ GIN AND IT WON'T LET ME.

Thanks so much for that information Walker! Jk, no one cares. It's a nice knife, and it may be cheap but that is why the bidding is so low. But you should go ahead and buy that knife for $10 with the shipping and tax. Thanks again. Btw, F&W!!
