Description

The listing, Epiphone S-310 Strat body guitar, white has ended.

Up for auction is an Epiphone Strat bodied guitar with whammy bar (not pictured). These were released in the mid 80s to the early 90s.

This was given to me by a family member who saw it at a yard sale and thought I would like it for my collection. But since I already own a Strat I do not need this one. It's been sitting around for a month and I don't want to look at it anymore.

This strat has all heads, pickups, knobs, 5-channel switch, and everything is in tact. Some of the chrome has oxidized but it's nothing that should damage the sound of the guitar. When I received the guitar it has no strings, and I never put any on. I have plugged the guitar into my amp and tapped on the pickups and they responded with no static or breaking up. All 5 channels on the switch appear to work and the neck and frets appear to be in excellent shape. There is some paint cracking around the neck as pictured. If there is anything not pictured that you would like to see I'll happily take on upon request. Tracking is included with shipping.

Great for beginners or strat lovers.

Happy Bidding!

LOL @budseattle the value of credits is not based upon how much you buy them for. If you actually bought them... I feel sorry for you. You just got ripped off. You should've posted a $10 amazon card and got 12000 credits easy.

If your not interested in the bidding then why feel up someone's auction with all negative comments. Just don't comment. He gave a good description and pictures so if you don't like it then don't comment and move on. Let others decide fro themselves if they like it. No reason to comment unless your watching, bidding or asking questions. Not just to be negative. HE can start at however many credits he want and etc.No one is hired by Listia to be auction police. Great auction. I am watching and fanning.

@freeme2013 your idea of how much credits are worth is totally off!! roughly 1000-1200 credits = $1 I am basing this off of what listia mods say and what gift cards go for. So with the correct formula he is only asking $55 for the guitar. That is a steal.

@ MandyScott .. no ...I don't buy them , I auction stuff (just got 60,000 for my Behringer guitar)... I use that to calculate in real money , what credits are worth and how much the item is worth in real cash , then check to on line to see how much a item would cost I real money , if I fell I want the item , I bid till I reach my limit for that item ....limit = the top I would bid ..

i understand how much you would like that to be true however, i buy and sell all makes and models all the time and come across many with these same cracks. the ones i get with cracks i refinish and it has been my experience that all of them were cracks in the wood. not one was just a paint crack and this is caused by some type of abuse. you can not always see the damage from inside the neck but, it is always there.

Pictures posted. One side appears to have a small crack going in to the body. The other it looks like the paint may be too thick to be certain. Though Googling fixes for these cracks shows methods that wouldn't seem costly price wise as much as it would be in time.

sorry, those are not paint cracks. they are stress cracks in the wood from a lot of pressure being put on the neck. this is repairable but expensive. you are asking too much.

It's a paint crack. Theses show up commonly on guitars, particularly ones used by beginners. They can usually go as deep as the paint job but the wood would be fine. These cracks are usually cause by pulling on the neck, even while playing, too hard. This is a Korean built Epiphone. You could throw the thing against a wall, put it back together and it should still play fine.

It's not even close to too many chips. Consider that I'm going to pay well on my end to get this guitar to it's winner.

If you take the neck off the body .... you can see if its just paint cracks or if the body has wood cracks in it , please post a picture of both... thanks ...

Posted. One side seems to have a crack going in to the body. The other goes in to a thick glob of paint so it's hard to tell if there is body damage.
