The term pit bull refers to certain breeds of dog – namely, the American Pit Bull Terrier, the American Staffordshire Terrier, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and any crosses amongst the three. In a few parts of the world, the American Bulldog is also classified as a "Pit Bull-type" dog, despite its major genetic differences.

I'm sorry but those are NOT American Pit Bull Terriers. They look like amstaffs and the last one is too thick to be either one.

The first looks like he *could* be an APBT. The second looks like an Am Staff. The third is an American bully. To be fair, Am Staffs have - historically - been lumped with pit bulls. Main am staffs are even dual registered. So, technically, pit bull is acceptable since he does not have it advertised as American pit bull terrier. ;)
