Description

The listing, hawaiian ginger Seeds And Tubers has ended.

This bid is for 30 seeds and four small tubers big enough to produce flowers from the hawaiian ginger.Grows about 3 to 4 feet tall.White beautiful smelly flowers that when planted in abundance makes a beautiful display.I started off with 6 tubers and as you see they are plentiful now.Mine are about 8 years old now and I have given away plenty.I would suggest planting in pots till spring, they like moist soil.If outside they die back in winter and sprout back out in spring.I am including tubers because I dont know how long it will take seed to grow into tubers big enough to produce flowers.
Up North these would have to be planted in pots and kept inside in winter due to the cold.

Hi,Each tuber makes a plant but each tuber can produce more than 1 stem of flowers. Each tuber grows and produces tubers off of it.The tuber chunk will get bigger and bigger. In order to get more plants separated from the chunk you spilt the chunk of tubers. The seeds I cannot tell you how that works.Ive had mine for years and never tried planting because of the tubers.I would plant each tuber in its own pot till spring then set out if you live in a warm climate.I would take the seeds and plant around tubers. They live moist soil.Mine are by the goldfish pond.Gave my friend some, they planted by a big pond now they are plentiful there.I would give advise for them or any plant whether a person bidded or not that I know about.I love plants as you can tell from my codename..lol.Mine I do nothing to but clean the old dead growth in spring, water now and then. They are easy to grow.Thank You for looking. If you bid and win I will help you with these ok,

Hey WOOKEE,
They are my favorites,I love them.So do the friends that come by.In the evening we have giant moths that love them also, long things coming out sucking their nectar. They produce a stem with a bunch of floers on it.Truly beautiful and great smelling.

I was given two tubers that were about 3 to 4 inches long and had 18 stalks and boocoodles (i like that word) of delicious smelling flowers. The hummingbirds loved them too. Hope this helps someone decide to bid on these, you can't go wrong in planting these in your garden where you can enjoy the aroma.
