It is not padded. I don't think I've seen a fully padded dice bag in all the years I've spent in comic and gaming shops, but most square bottom bags (there are tons on etsy) have padding in just the bottom to make it stand up if thats what you're looking for. If you're just worried about your dice being damaged floating around a larger bag/backpack or the dice scratching a phone/tablet screen through the dice bag, then is bag is definitely solid enough. Between the thickness of the fur fabric and the inner lining, you can't feel any sharp corners or angles through the bag.
