According to the guy I got this from, the camcorder works just fine. All it needs is a new battery and charger.

hello jessca you are worried about shpping cost? LOL it's only depending on weight of item. And some people offer free shipping. I could ship lots of stuff free because they are light weight and fit in an envelope! So if win an auction on a 1 - 5 lb item go dig in couch cushions for some change and pay the tiny cost maximum might be $12
