Description

The listing, VINTAGE RARE TRANSISTOR RADIO FROM MONTGOMERY WARDS - FREE SHIPPING AND ZERO STARTING BID!!! has ended.

Up for your consideration is a vintage AM transistor radio. It includes the original box, radio, vinyl case, booklet and earpiece!

-BOX-

Top of the box reads JULIETTE - SOLID STATE - MODEL APR-306

Front of box reads the same with an addition in handwriting with the word IVORY which I speculate describes the color of radio.

Sides of the box read the same as the top.

Back of box reads HONG KONG.

-RADIO-

Radio reads 8 TRANSISTOR across the top.
Underneath the stations display reads WARDS AIRLINE

Right side of radio is a wheel to control station selection. Left side controls volume. Volume wheel doesn't seem to click to power off. I don't know if that's how it was designed or if its a malfunction.

Radio takes a 9 volt, has been tested and does work!!! The vinyl case and radio itself are in near mint condition!!! It's as if it was used a few times and returned to the box and forgotten!!!

This also comes with an earpiece which I assume works as the antenna. There is no external antenna. Earpiece was not tested.

Ive done some research and have dated it between 1963 and 1970. I found no actual information on the radio but have referenced its characteristics(AM radio only, lack of weather station markers on display) that lead me to believe its within the years previously stated.

If you're a collector, know of a collector or just want to awaken some memories then don't pass this up!!!

I'm opening this auction with a zero bid. I believe the piece itself will carry itself to the points it deserves!!!

Shipping is free and this will be shipped priority mail with a tracking number.

Thanks for looking and BID BID BID!!!!

Had to of been summer of 71 and I just got it for my birthday. Man it was a big glob of melted plastic and metal by the time we got back to the car..8( lol F&W
