These would only cost $2.07 to ship in a recycled poly mailer, manilla envelope or bubble mailer. Possibly even cheaper if you printed a shipping label from paypal. Paypal's free and definitely worth it. You'll get many more credits the cheaper you can offer shippping.
well I just send everything thru the post office is closer for me and I am tying to learn new ways so I can do free shipping but am kinda new to the shipping thing I go with what ever they charge me at the post office, how do I print from paypal?
At http://postcalc.usps.com/ you can calculate shipping based on to and from zip codes (that's why people ask: how much to such and such <zipcode>?) and based on the package's weight. Using a normal kitchen scale, a smartphone scale app or a cheap ($3 or so) postage scale you can approximate the weight to estimate shipping costs. Add a dollar to cover small error in your scale, paypal's transaction fees and shipping materials. Then once they've paid you on paypal, click details next to their payment and there's an option to print shipping.
I'm new to it too, and was pleasantly surprised to see the discount in shipping costs vs the post office in person. If you don't have a scale yet you can estimate based on previous shipping costs and if you end up overcharging, refund them if it's more than a dollar extra. It took me a long time to try it and I wish I had sooner.
Anyhow, $4 isn't bad for these. Just a heads up on how to save a lil. People tend to bid less the higher shipping costs are. Except for Hello kitty stuff. People tend to overpay on here for hello kitty stuff. ;)
Yeah me too. I nanny a little girl that loooovvvves Hello Kitty. Before I realized you can buy credits for 1500 for $5 I didn't really compare prices wisely. Having a conversion rate is helpful.
