Thanks I think so too! I had a couple of these kind when I was a kid I have never seen this many together and different sizes:) I found these at a estate sale this weekend the man said he stole most of these from neighbor kids in the 50's. LOL He said that often kids used ball barrings as steely marbles. I am always trying to find you all neat stuff. Fanned you!!

When I was a Kid I went to school every dat with 10 glass marbles & my trusty Steelie & I came home with both pockets full of other kids marbles. If we played keepies. That was a fun time , Gone to I pods & WII , shame kids don't play like they used to . You had to go out side to play . Plenty of sunshine & fresh air . That was the good ole days. I am fanning & bidding

They are metal the largest weighs nearly a pound. You could really do some damage to your opponents glass marbles with these babies:) LOL Thanks for looking fanned you!!

I played marbles with my older brother. He had the stronger thumb, but I had a big genuine steely that I reserved for "bombing". I was good at bombing, at least. lol. I sometimes broke his glass marbles with it, and he accused me of cheating, and did his best to trade me out of it. (I also could beat him at "stretch", cause he couldn't do the splits, and I could. He quit playing it with me when I nicked his big toe tho. : -))
