Description

The listing, 35+ SWEET Maple Syrup Cognac Amber Beads Genuine Baltic * LAST LOT * has ended.

Winner gets this NICE bag of at least 35 genuine Baltic amber beads, in a crackly cognac color that always makes me think of maple syrup! This is the last bag of these I have to give away on Listia!

Amber is fossilized pine sap and is organic, so warm to the touch and very lightweight. The best is Baltic amber from Lithuania (which these are). Enjoy!

Free US and Canada shipping too!

Please see my other listings this week for MORE amber, beads and sweet Pandora earrings! I generally list a few items each night ... check my FRESH listings at http://www.listia.com/profile/auctions/28303!

WARNING to bidders ... many bids placed in the last minute never register because Listia's servers can get overwhelmed and slow down. If you want something PLEASE place your bid at LEAST one minute before the auction end--before it's too late!

I don't know why most it comes from Lithuania, they must have a big industry set up there to collect and process the amber. But amber is amber, no matter where it is from! Have you made anything with it?

are they unprocessed amber? cause I'm really looking for some of those. They are suppose to be a good pain relief from the natural oils releasing into the skin.
My daughter has a necklace and its working great for her teething.

I can't be sure. They look unprocessed because aren't smooth. If you look at the raw amber I have listed, I'm sure that is unprocessed. I have a bidder who has been bidding on all of the amber I've been listing to make teething necklaces. I'm not sure it matters if the amber is processed.

Thanks for letting me know
it really does matter if its processed or not cause if its processed it looses its natural oils which are the pain reliever
they work for more than just teething as well, aching joints and muscles, arthritis, rheumatism... so many uses.
I'll be watching!

How does it work, just by wearing it? I really don't know much about how amber is processed, but clearly to get it into shapes such as rounds it has to be melted. It would be interesting to know more. These look like chips that still have the natural inclusions, so maybe they haven't been melted.

yep just by wearing it, your body warms them which is what releases the oils. They could be tumbled to smooth them and they could get roundish that way..But when the are processed they are softened and/or pressed, which all requires heat which will remove the natural oils

That makes sense, although I doubt all the natural oils get processed out. Would be an interesting experiment!
