Reduced initial bid!
Okra (Gumbo) is a real staple in the South, and even Northerners are addicted to it's tangy flavor.
I didn't count seeds like the big seed companies do... I simply measured out a tablespoonful into the packet... guaranteed to be a mes of okra seeds for your okra field
Cut the young tender pods daily when they reach a finger's length. One more day's growth will allow the spines to become hard. If your knife fails to cut through the pod with gentle pressure, the pod's too old and should be discarded.
Towards the end of the season, be sure to allow some of the pods to matureand develop the seeds for next year's planting. The pod will turn brown and split open from the sharp end, releasing the seeds.
