This is a tropical tree and will freeze in temps that stay under 30 degrees for longer than 6 hrs...I found out the hard way..Texas hardly ever has hard freezes but several years ago I lost a big beautiful orchid tree and two ready to bear avacado trees..
The leaves look like green buterflies that open in the morning and close at night. It is a very interesting tree. Sometimes called a butterfly tree. Makes a gorgeous shade tree when not in bloom. It blooms sometimes twice a year, on the new growth.

My tree is in bloom right now and making seeds. They come up where they fall so I have to harvest the seeds when they fall so that I don't have small trees all in my front yard, where ever the wind carries them.

I will send you 5 seeds. Gin for 10 seeds.You can start in a pot then transplant or sow them wherever you want the tree to grow.
