READ READ **************************************************************** THIS IS A GENUINE MINK COLLAR THAT BELONGED TO MY GRANDMOTHER I'M GONNA SAY IT'S FROM THE 50'S OR 60'S HAS SILK LINING ON THE BACK SIDE IT IS SO SOFT AND BEAUTIFUL...****.IT IS 27 INCHES FROM POINT TO POINT AND 7 INCHES FROM THE TOP OF THE BACK TO THE BOTTOM OF THE BACK WHERE THE SEAM IS ON THE BACK SIDE**** (great memories of her wearing this to church and other places)
this has been stored in her old steamer trunk she had redone and quilted inside so it has been well taken care of ..I just think it needs a new home with someone who will enjoy it so happy bidding :)

I understand that the animal has been dead for at least 50 years and it was a different time back them but when I look at this, all I can see is a dead mink; they look just like ferrets and weasels. It just makes me so sad

I am sorry you feel that way and i don't believe in doing this in these days but as i said it is absolutely beautiful and has been done for over 50 yrs ago and preserved by my desease grandmother and at the time it was a pride of hers and i just thought that someone else might enjoy it..is never my intention to offend anyone...this was a very exspensive and luxury item to have back in her hay day . i don't think that it will hurt anyone to have it now and someone of the older generation who was not able to afford one them might make their day to be able to have one now and may make someone very very happy. i completly apologize to anyone that it offend and i am one of the biggest animal lovers there is but i don't see anything wrong with making someone very happy with some old memories that might enjoy...but thank you for your opinion and this is the only item i have of this sort

It's sad how far people take this. This mink is a antique, would yall rather it just waist away or be disposed of? I'm a huge advocate for animal rights. However I WILL wear a antique fur. I wear faux if its new because most likely it was killed for sport or against today's laws. Again if its antique why waist it? What about all the computers and cell phones, do you dispose of them properly? Do you know if the company that is supposed to dispose of them does it legal? What about the mountains of old a new computers in asia killing the people. I personally think that's more important, but that's just my opinion.

Thank you like i said i wasn't trying to offend i just don't see any since in it just sitting in this trunk any longer it is beautiful and my nanny loved it so ....i just want someone else to be able to enjoy it the way she did. i am also against any kind of animal cruelty but this was probably 50 yrs ago. anyway i am ready for this auction to be over with and for someone wonderful to enjoy!! :)

if it were mine and I wanted to get rid of it, i would EBAY the item. i wish i had that many coins. However, if mine, and it brought back good memories of my grandmother, either one of them, i could not let it go. I would space bag it with a few moth balls, and save it for my children's children.
