These were made of copper and nickel and do take on a gold look with age. Some of the color is due to the incandescent lighting used to take the picture. Look at the last picture and see that even the white coin holder takes on yellow look. This is a real Flying Eagle Cent.

I have been saving up points for something and I still want and think that I need this year Flying Eagle. It seems coins run higher on Listia than what they would be at a coin store this floors me.-

Right. Some coins are terribly inflated with a crazy GIN. Most honest coin collectors will set a fair GIN. We must all remember the fees charged to use a GIN (at least 10%)The current exchange of credits to USD is about 1000 credits= $1. If others tell you different, it is because they are trying to get something from you for less. They will tell you 300 credits = $1. That was a few years ago. If you look at gift cards, this is the exchange rate. Even Listia sells their gift cards at this rate. Gee, who should we believe?

Just an honest question. How did you come up with 1000 credits = $1?? If I spend $5, I get 1,500 credits and if I spend $40, I get 16,000 credits. That's a huge difference. Maybe i'm missing something?

I am not talking about what credits cost, but rather what they will buy here on Listia. If an item cost $10, most sellers expect to get at least 10,000 credits for that item($1 per 1000 credits). Your 1500 credits that you pay $5 for is actually worth about $1.50 in buying power and the 16000 credits you buy for $40 is worth about $16 in buying power. It is just like the inflation of our U.S. dollar and what it can buy today as opposed to 10 years ago. When I first joined Listia in 2010, the buying power of 300 credits was about $1. Listia sells products. One product is Amazon cards. A $10 amazon card lists for 10,000. That is a good deal. Many $10 Amazon cards sell for 15,000, 18,000. That is way over inflated. It is the same with all items, including coins. Many GIN's on coins are super inflated. This current average equation of 1000 credits=$1 is what people have made the norm by repeatedly over inflating items. It is all due to what people have made it. I hope this explains what I meant. Thanks for your comments and happy bidding.

Again, no offense. I've heard other bring this up before.

No offense taken. None of us are happy with this super explosion of inflation. I am not happy with the inflation of our economy and what I can no longer buy with $1.
