It SUPPORTS listed formats and has micro SD and SD slots and a USB port in the underside of the apple. The photos reveal various angles showing the ports (including my fingerprint in the first one - no better ID than that). You must have a memory card, a flash drive or an external device + a working car radio and speakers to use this transmitter.

Music transmits to your car radio and plays from an open radio frequency agreeing with your apple's LCD setting. It's the same concept as the cell phone transmitter advertised on TV by the late Billy Mays.

Steps:

1. Plug the apple into your car's cigarette lighter receptacle.
2. Turn on your car stereo.
3. Tune to the same frequency on your car radio as the one you set on your apple transmitter.
4. Plug in an SD card, or a USB flash drive, or a cell phone, or a portable CD player or an MP3 player for play. The sound comes through your car stereo's speakers. (External devices must have a USB cord and must accommodate listed formats.)
