The Straits Settlements were a group of British territories located in Southeast Asia.
Originally established in 128 as part of the territories controlled by the British East India Co.,
the straits Settlements came under direct British control as a crown colony on Apr 1, 1867.

The Straits Settlements consisted of the 4 individual settlements of Malacca, Dinding, Penany & Singapore.
With the exception of Singapore, these territories now form part of Malaysia.

IF it was American ... I'd probably add it to my coin collection.
I do have a large cent from the USA I may be putting up in the
near future (not sure about that right now)
