Description

The listing, FOUR really BIG 1980s ISRAEL 10 shequalim Hanukkah Motif *Free US Ship* has ended.

Four BIG 10 SHEQALIM coins from the 1980s, with a gorgeous boat graphic and Hanukkah menorah. Number 8119 (whatever that means). Bright silver color, not cleaned but excellent condition, made from copper-nickel according to my research.

ALWAYS FREE SHIPPING in the US.

I will ship to Canada for $8, and can ship MULTIPLE small items at no added cost Overseas Priority shipping is $14 to MOST locations, but I will NOT ship to China (sorry). You MUST use Paypal. I can ship MULTIPLE small items for one shipping fee.

I am not a collector--just getting rid of a bag of coins bought for my kids a few years ago--mostly international, these are among the few US coins I have. None have been cleaned. I am doing my best to identify them--PLEASE let me know if I need to change anything in my descriptions!

Coming from you, that's a nice compliment (if in fact, it is a compliment!). What do those numbers mean ... is it some sort of industry cataloging system?

Where is the "8119" located? I don't see them in the scan.

I think this is some sort of coin catalog number. I looked these up and found this info ... isn't there some sort of master catalog of coins, with each coin assigned a number? It's not on the coin. I dunno ... this is making my head spin!

Thanks, I'm trying! These little devils are hard to keep organized. I have them stored in individual ziplock bags, but they should be called SLIPlock bags ... it's like handling little greased pigs.

All my auctions are wysiwyg (what you see is what you get). I will be away tonight and tomorrow, returning Saturday evening. I can probably get online at some point, but won't be able to respond to comments as quickly as usual.

There is a Standard Catalog of World Coins for various centuries, depending upon your focus. In this case, most of your stuff will be in the 1901-2000 range. It helps a person identify the coins, though you probably still have to figure out the country first.

Thanks Stacey, if I can get the catalog number in my research when I'm searching for info, I'll include it. Otherwise, it's up to the winner to find!
