The listing, Iris 'Before The Storm' has ended.

'Before the Storm' is a deep velvety black-purple. This is one of the best performing Iris in my garden. It grows super-fast, the clumps easily double in size every year. The dark blooms look stunning when planted in large groups with orange poppies! It's a real show stopper.

They really are striking. I live in the city, and I have these planted in my front yard, I can't tell you how many people have walked up into the yard to read the tag and get a closer look.

These could work great for a number of landscaping uses too... Imagine a white house with black trim and giving it some curb appeal with black and white flowers. These would really POP off the backdrop of a white house. I usually accent them with a very bright flower that blooms at the same time, like poppies or very late tulips. Or right now I have bright yellow groundcover planted all around them so the black stands out.

I move them around a lot because I am frequently digging them up to divide the clumps. They grow very fast for me and seem to be prettiest when they don't get overcrowded.

Thanks...total newb learnin the ropes. Thank you for watching. Keep an eye out for other listings, I have four greenhouses and I am doing a lot of propagating this year. I am thinking of listing Campanula 'Pink Octopus' next.....Very delicate pink flowers with leopard spots....gallon size pots and Super vigorous!
