Description

The listing, FIVE Big Amber Balls 1/2 inch EACH Beads GORGEOUS has ended.

Winner gets all FIVE of these half-inch amber balls. Free US and Canada shipping too! Please also see the even LARGER set of three amber beads I have on Listia this week!

The best amber is from the Baltic sea and comes from Lithuania, as these did years ago when I bought them on ebay. Being an organic material, fossilized pine sap, they are warm to the touch and very lightweight. And they just glow with life!

These would be great to pair with the larger amber ball beads I have on Listia this week to create a graduated necklace. I will have a few more lots of both sizes, so watch for my fresh listings next week!

Free US and Canada shipping too!

I generally list a few items each night ... check my FRESH listings at http://www.listia.com/profile/auctions/28303!

WARNING to bidders ... many bids placed in the last minute never register because Listia's servers can get overwhelmed and slow down. If you want something PLEASE place your bid at LEAST one minute before the auction end--before it's too late!

I need to get some of these out and see how they would do with the rondelles between them. My problem with amber is that I have olive skin so it's not the best color, but my relatives love amber jewelry. I should make some for Xmas before I give it all away on Listia!

If you pair them up with some warm browns, you could wear them. I am olive skinned too

Good idea! I have some darker color ones I'm keeping. I might try them with just some crystals or rondelles, something really simple.

Send them to Mexico? I pay the cost.

Yup, I'll send them but I will NOT refund credits if they don't get there. I don't think it will cost that much, but mail theft is rampant in some parts of Mexico. It's up to you if you want to take the chance.

Beautiful, Nancy :) I thought it was you olive people that looked good in amber. I can't wear it because I'm pinkish lol...

The problem with being olive is that is a lot of yellow in your skin, sort of like being Asian (sallow). So, it's not good to wear most shades of yellow next to your face, better to wear cool colors generally. I'm saving some of the darker color amber balls to maybe make something for myself. But my relatives lot amber jewelry, makes for great gifts!

You know Nancy, you're right... I have some friends who are BROWN skinned, and they look great in earth tones and warm colors. But sallow wouldn't be good with amber. It's funny but you are wearing pink and look sort of pinkish on my computer! When they coined the term "summer" (for coloring), my picture is in all the books lol. My kids used to make fun of me because my closet was a sea of pink :) I have branched out, but still avoid those earth tones! In fact I am about to list some "still with tag" camisoles from when I was miniscule and they are pastel, as always...

I avoid anything with a yellowish base. Reds look great on me but awful in photos, and I wear a lot of blue and black. Magenta also is great, lots of blue in that. Grey can be okay too. But I wear most jewelry on my skin, not over clothes. Amber would certainly look great on black, for example!
