Is this preschool age? Does it require reading skills?

The age group on it says for everyone. But from what I can remember when my 8yr old played it, they may have to have some help if they are at a young age still. You have to take care of the baby in the game and know when it needs a bath, feeding, diaper change, etc. if your child has any games similar it may be simple for him/her but if its something that would be new to them maybe check out the ratings on different sites and see what age range is playing it most before bidding? :) hope that helps..
