Need a little more information please... What's it made of (metal content)? How old is it, etc.? What color are the beads (they look black to me) and what are they made of?

Sorry, new to this site. The beads are black, Im not sure what its made of.. I found it in the crawl space of my home along with a letter from St Joseph's church in Leavenworth, Kansas -1908
