Up for auction is this lovely cross stitch project. This cross stitch comes with a photo grid, instructions and thread count. Final project is about 10.7 by 8.5 on 14 count aida cloth and is made by me. These projects are cross stitch art that is not just taken from images, but advanced and altered specifically for cross stitch patterns, that when finished are amazing. Specific care has been taken to detail so that your work matches the picture of each square precisely. Please see my other projects and save major money from store purchases. I'm new to the needlepoint / cross stitching hobby,
So of coarse I have a question.
Is the thread just the regular cotton thread or is it the satin thread?
I was just wandering because the image is so gorgeous.
If someone knows what they are doing, can it actually come out looking that pretty??

I am glad you asked and I do not think that any question is ignorant! Cross stitch patterns are easy to work and fun to do. There is a special thread that you buy at any craft store just for this purpose. I use DMC thread because that is what I find in my craft store. The bundles of thread are under a dollar and I separate my thread into three strands because it comes when you buy it with six strands. It would be wise to have someone show you that stitches or read instructions on line about cross stitching. Very Fun. My patterns give you the insturctions and the thread list so that you can go and buy what you need. Also I use 14 count aida cloth which you can get there also. If you have a JoAnns go there they will help you get started.
