This is a rather small size @ 4 1/4. It IS Sterling, although NOT marked. I believe it could be sized a bit bigger by a jeweler. I know this because it was bought at an Indian reservation in Arizona, where my sister took lessons on making this type of jewelry from the Indians living there. It is Stunning with Intricate detail on the feather. Very well made and sturdy. I've had it for more than 20 years but I haven't worn it because it's too small for me.
