The listing, 98.85ct Iridescent Ammolite for a Pendant! has ended.
Sorry about the price increase. I paid a lot for this. Things have been really slow here on Listia lately and I've been losing my shirt in credits. Anyone that has won one of my bids know that I package everything well and pay for postage. Well, I'm going broke! So sorry, but I can't do it anymore.
This auction is for one 98.85ct Iridescent Ammolite fossil. Ammolite is a rare gemstone found in the southern part of Alberta province in Madagascar. It has a naturally occurring colorful mosaic pattern formed by millions of years of elemental change. The crushed compressed remains of fossilized ammonite shells are found compacted in the center of shale concretions. These ammonite shells are remains of an extinct group of marine invertebrate animals closely related to living coleoids (i.e. octopuses, squid, and cuttlefish). They first appeared in the Devonian period (400 million years ago) and became extinct at around Cretaceous period (65.5 million years ago) along with the dinosaurs.
Do not ask me to lower days or the start bid. This is a REAL gem! I do most mailings on Thursdays. Good luck!
