If it's silver, then it must be really soft, easily able to erase the buffalo. Do you have inside some sort of airproof pouch or bag? Or do you touch it with your bare hands?

Silver is a relatively softer metal, but is definitely not soft enough to "erase" the buffalo...afterall, it's a metal and not clay. I currently have it stored in a clear coin flip, but it's not air tight...I handle it with clean hands and only hold it on it's edges. The pictures accurately depict it's condition.
