Description

The listing, Ricin (Ricinus Communis, Castor Beans) 10 Seeds has ended.

Now you too can stuff an envelope with trendy toxic Ricin powder and mail it to the evil political leader of your choice.
Of course it's only harmful when ingested and you have to ingest more than most people realize in order to achieve anything more than intestinal woe, but it's guaranteed to get you 15 minutes of fame and possibly a day of waterboarding, just south of Miami Beach in sunny Cuba.
Plus, you get to watch the comedic drama unfold as law enforcement and the media hype it ridiculously out of proportion, dressing in full hazmat suits to handle a substance that is no more toxic than azaleas, poinsettias, mistletoe, or rhubarb leaves.
This is a purple variety of castor bean known as "Impala".
It is mostly just grown for for it's beauty as a large fast-growing specimen plant or privacy hedge, but what you do with it is your business.
Note: Mine are blooming so heavily this year they are bending under the weight. If this happens to yours, stake them up or just pick some of the flowers to lighten the load.

I would love to plant a wall of these between me and my neighbor. Maybe then he would not want to talk to me - teehee. I will take as many seeds as you want to send. If I win, that is.

I'll give you as many as 2-3 stamps will carry. I'll even throw in a Zanzibar bean. They get 20ft+ tall. Scare the crap out of him. :)
When you collect the seeds this Fall, wear giant rubber gloves and a big respirator and be sure he's out in his yard to see you. lol!

Hi,
I know what you mean about the questions. I had a couple of neighbors ask whether I was up to no good by growing these, like I was supplying a small army or something. I only had one plant 2 years but it was very big and obscured my front door. Alas, it was a wet fall and I never got to collect the seeds. So, I am very interested in these. Fanned and bid!!!

That's hysterical. People are so ignorant. Did you see them on the news handling that last envelope? I wasn't kidding. They REALLY did wear full head to toe H.A.Z.M.A.T. suits! As if it were as toxic as anthrax or something. Crazy.
Thanks for bidding!
