Like little whirling butterflies the bright pink flowers of Karalee dance in the breeze on long thin stems. The narrow leafed foliage is dark green blushed with burgundy, that adds a different color and texture to your landscape. This plant is also great in containers!

Questions & Comments
I have these, since last year, they came back and have been blooming for the past two weeks, they are beautiful, BOUGHT MINE AT LOWES
I have a white cultivar of Gaura that is planted in my yard, it just started blooming also. The flowers really do look like little butterflies dancing in the air.
It is true, you can buy Proven Winners plants at many big box stores. I buy mine directly from 4 Star Greenhouses, the owner of the Proven Winners brand (AMAZING grower operation, you could eat off their floor).....Then I grow them out to a fuller size. I shop around and I expect most people do. If these are available right in your town, then I expect that would be the best deal. I always encourage people to shop local.....try your locally owned and operated retailer first.
Gaura is not a bulb, it grows on a hardy root system just like hosta or purple coneflowers.....The plant that you are bidding on is exactly the one that is pictured.
Unfortunately it doesn't multiply quite like a hosta. It is going to reach a maximum size and pretty much stay that size. If you're interested in dividing gaura so that you can make more plants, it can be done.....Instead it is much easier to take cuttings of branches and root them in soil, to make new plants.
Congratulations! These are very pretty to use for filler in patio pots....or if you have space in ground at your new apartment, you can plant them there also.
These are sun lovers! They really love a Full day of sun. But they will grow and flower okay if they have only 6 hours or direct sun.
At the greenhouse, they are in Full sun inside a hot house where the temps can climb above 100 easily. In my garden at home, they are planted in a Dry area where they only get about 6 hours of good sun.
The really important part for them seems to be their soil conditions. Especially in zone 5 and 6. They like to be planted somewhere that the soil stays dry in the spring time. They don't like wet feet when the snow is melting and when we are having all the spring rains from late February - April.
If you can grow lavender and chrysanthemum with no problem, these should be an easy fit.
