Sims 2 was released in several different types(CD-ROM and DVD-ROM). Some versions had more contact then others too.

Sims 1 is the first series they started. About 5 years later they started the Sims 2 series. Now they are on the Sims 3 series. Deluxe versions normally come with 1-3 additional expansion packs included.
