The ink may be used up really haven't tried to make it write al though the ball is moving so it is froze or dried up. Remember this pen on the infomercials. Happy bidding. I added another pen just like it extra for spare parts. I had put a battery in it before and the clock part worked but it is missing the the clip and ink cartridge. Thank you
