Description

The listing, Vietnam Memorial - USPS Special Framed Issue - GREAT! has ended.

This is one of the best things I own! I cherish it! HOWEVER....when they slide my used up shell of a body into the cremation furnace....well...let's just say I won't need it. I also know for a fact, that this would just be sold at a yard sale...probably for a couple of bucks!

I don't want that to happen! So....I would much rather see it go to someone who can truly appreciate it. Hence.....here it is!

Special Release by the USPS

Vietnam Memorial "The Wall"

Professionally framed for and sold exclusively by the USPS

It has the famous picture of "The Wall", as well as 5 related stamps...all mint, of course!

The frame is 17" X 15". There is no damage to the frame or glass. The whole thing is like-new!

- This is an OUTSTANDING piece! -

Anyone and everyone that follows old Doodlebug knows I don't charge for shipping. However....this is different. To properly package and ship this, with the least chance of damage, will cost about $15.00. That's too much for me to bear for one item. So....what I will do is this. The winner will pay a flat $10, and I'll pay the rest, including insurance and delivery confirmation. I think that will be more than fair for everyone concerned.

Payment can be made via Paypal, money order, check, chickens, goats, grouse, quail, ducks, geese....or a pony. Your choice!

Are you a Vietnam veteran? If you are, then I know how sentimental this would be to you. I'm not honored enough to have such an item, but I do hope that it will find a proper home. If it does not get bids, I suggest you donate it to a museum in your name.

Yes, I was there in 1967-68. I think the only people that would bid on this, would be people that would appreciate and respect it....not to mention how great it would be for ANY collection. I have no doubts about it getting plenty of bids!

This would be a phenomenal (but very emotional) gift for my Father for Christmas..He is a disabled Vietnam veteran - He has a special edition clock from Avon of "The Wall" that his is pride and joy - this would be perfect to put beside it. =)

Thank you for all you've done for me and my family, and everyone else here in Listia land. :-)

Thanks for your service! My father was also over there too. I bought this very same plaque from the USPS for my dad, for "Just Because," I saw it one day at the PO and had to get it for him and he LOVES it. I have military running through my veins, literally, because my grandfather served and retired from the Airforce, my father served and retired from the Army, and I married a Marine. So basically I just wanted to stop in and let you how much I do appreciate your service. I also bought the stamped collection plaque for the "Marines" for my husband as well and a very large plaque (w/ stamps) called "American Pride." I am thinking that the USPS has stopped selling these (at least in my hometown) so anyone who wins this will be getting a collector item now. BTW I love stopping in and see what Doodlebug (you) is selling and I love each and ever listing for the sake of reading your descriptions. Seems you're a very nice and comical man. I am a Fan!

Thank you for your kind comments. I take them to heart! And, in return, thanks to you and all your family who serve, as well as have served, for freedom. I include you, because the spouses of service members actually serve, too. Maybe in a different way, but serve none the less.

Since the beginning, SO many have fought, and died, for this wonderful nation....to have what we have. Frankly, it breaks my heart, and also infuriates me, to see what the powers that be are doing to our country. I could go on and on about that, but this is not the place.

Yes, these memorials are quite collectible now. They only make each one for a short time...then no more.

Thanks very much!
