Description

The listing, Cat (kitty) Soft Claw Caps (Gray or Orange) has ended.

You just found the alternative to painful and expensive declawing. Most people don't know the horrors of declawing. Read the full description for details.

Color: Orange Size: Small Fit young cats and small breed cats around 6 to 9 lbs. (6 months and up) I highly recommend this as an alternative to declawing your cat. I recommend getting your kitten used to paw handling before you attempt this, and continue to handle your kitten's paws, so that they don't fight as much.

Also, know that since your are covering your cats claws, you have to trim their claws yourself; since your cat isn't scratching and sharpening which is in essence filing down their claws, you have to cut the excess off.

For people who want to apply this without your cat scratching you, put your cat in a towel, making a "cat burrito". When I need a certain paw, I pull it out and wrap her up pretty tight.

I will include glue and printed instructions.

You can also have a groomer apply these if your cat is hyper.

This product saves your cat the horrors of declawing.
Declawing is not like a manicure. It's a serious surgery that involves 10 individual amputations—not just of the cats' nails but of the last digit of each toe as well.

Cats often experience extreme pain when they awaken from the surgery and often have difficulty walking. Declawing results in a gradual weakening of leg, shoulder, and back muscles. Because of impaired balance caused by the procedure, declawed cats have to relearn how to walk, much as a person would after losing his or her toes. After the surgery, the nails can grow back inside the paw, causing extreme pain unbeknownst to the cat's guardian.

I'm more of a dog person, but it's nice to know about this alternative for cats.
I've heard about declawing before, but after reading this I find horrifying.
More than the nail removal, the nail re-grow where it's not supposed to be. :(

I wish I'd known about this stuff before! I used to have a cat that tore up the backs of chairs! She died some years ago of old age but the damage is still there. I tried commercial sprays, perfume on the chairs, tape, plastic corner stuff, nothing worked, this sounds like a great alternative to declawing which I never had the heart to do. And it looks cute, too! Like nailpolish for cats!! Lol! I'm still a big cat lover, but mine are pretty well behaved and I don't have upholstered furniture(except for those chairs, which it's too late now). But it does sound very effective! Good Luck with your auction! I think it's a wonderful idea!

Had a cat that almost took my eye out with its claws just playin. It swiped near my eye while I was sleeping. These are a really great problem solver and they look really cute.
