The touch pad still has its original plastic cover, which I never removed. So, the touch pad is pristine. Thank you for asking that!

This netbook has a nice bright screen and was used for watching streaming movies for a few months before my cable connection speed slowed, making consistent, uninterrupted movie streaming unreliable. Thereafter, it sat unused for these few years until I had the drive erased and I then reinstalled Windows XP just this week. This is a fresh XP install for the new owner to input their own user information and register the OS, and has not had any Windows Updates newer than whatever was installed from the recovery disks during the reinstall.

To be clear, this machine does not have a built in cd/dvd player. To play cd's, you have to use an external USB cd player. I have one, and may offer it for sale here shortly, but not in this auction. There is no cd player included in this auction. Thanks to everyone!

There is no cd/dvd player. An external cd player can be plugged into one of its USB ports to play cd's. An external cd player is not included in this auction, but I think you can pick them up pretty cheap, and I may sell mine on Listia at some later time since without this netbook, I don't really have use for it. There's a code on the cd jacket. I would guess that's what that is.

The machine is missing most of the thin rubber molding strip in the plastic housing below the screen due to the way I held it while watching flicks, but that is strictly an aethetic issue and does not effect performance. I am not aware of any other issues with the screen or the housing or the hardware. It's in very good condition and works very well, as it should, and has not been heavily used other than described above for a few months of streaming movies. I am the original owner.
