The listing, Antique Time Traveling Hand Fan from China has ended.

This is an antique hand fan from what is now called China that time travels.

The legend behind the fan PART 1: Once upon a time, in a far away land filled with witches, dragons, magic and mystical creatures, there was a little girl named Raina who acquired this fan. Her Grandmother was a beautiful and kind witch who put a spell on everything that she crafted. The spell that the Grandmother put on this very fan was a time travelling spell. And, on Raina's birthday, the grandmother gave her this fan she made. Raina was so excited and happy, because the fan was so beautiful and enchanting. The day after her birthday, Raina walked to the local town and took her fan with her to show it off. As she walked through town, she ran into a gypsy caravan. An old, nasty and blind gypsy woman with a hook arm stepped out of one of the carriages. The old gypsy woman somehow sensed the presence and powers of the fan. As the gypsy woman hobbled towards Raina, the rest of the gypsy family got out of the carriages to see what was going on. The old woman shakily raised her hook arm out towards Raina and said, "Give me the fan." Raina loved the fan so much. It was the most beautiful gift she had ever been given. So, she kindly told the gypsy woman that she could not let her have the fan. The old gypsy spit on the ground and started chanting a curse on Raina. As the old gypsy started chanting, the rest of the gypsies went into a trance and started chanting along with her. Gathering in closer on Raina...chanting.. KA-REE-MA, KA-REE-MA, KA-REE-MA... over and over again. Raina started shaking and held the fan tight against her chest as the gypsies closed in around her. And, then... POOF.... with a flash of light... Raina vanished! The gypsies fell out of their trance and looked around to see if they could find her. But, she was no where to be found!...Want to know the rest of the story or are you scared?..Bid 2 know!

Good point! Even more interesting now.... The story I wrote came from a real experience I had with this fan. I sold a fan that was completely identical to this fan a month ago in the consignment store I work at. And, my husband, brother in law, his roommate, and I had a parking lot sale last week. And, on the last day or second to last day of the parking lot sale, we took everything out to the parking lot and all that was left in the garage was the trash boxes and some extra inventory. Well, this fan was sitting on top of one of the trash boxes! It was really eerie, you know? By the last or second to last day we had all our inventory cleaned and priced, and out of the blue this fan just showed up and was just sitting there on top of one of the trash boxes! So, that is how this story came to be.

You no what's funny all antique hand fans are hand painted or lace or silk they didn't have sequences and they didn't have anything that "feels like plastic" cuz they were made from wood, pearl, ivory, or bone

This is the exact fan that the little girl was last seen with. It was passed down in my family from generation to generation. Winning bidder gets the exact fan from the story.

It will only work if you have practiced mastering time travel...Good luck!! And, don't let the old gypsy woman with the hook arm get you! Definitely avoid that time period.

I have translated what "Mr. Cat" says....... He says that the fan is only time travelling forward. My response... Yes, in this story it is time travelling forward. But, at some point in the series the fan and Raina will go back in time.
