Charoite forms in violet masses as dense fibrous aggregates. The colors can range from pale lilac to deep purple and sometimes with quartz and black manganese inclusions. There is usually intricate patterning and some shimmering chatoyant properties that can be seen. This tumbled Charoite specimen originates from Siberia. It is predominately a shimmering purple in color. It is not completely smooth to the touch.
