Push the button on top for the flashlight. Blow the whistle through the vent you see on the picture. Bid! Bid! Bid! Any more questions, please just ask. Thanks

Clarification: Blow the whistle from the narrow end, and the sound comes through the vent you see. Hopes this helps.
