The listing, WW2 German SS Belt Buckle has ended.
Im new to this site so bare with me!!!!! I am listing an original WW2 German SS belt buckle. It is SS marked and has the RZM mark on the backside. The clasp is gone but the buckle itself is in good shape minus the tarnishing. Any questions please feel free to ask!!!! Thanks a lot!!!!
Questions & Comments
Okay I was writing that and used cut / paste to move sentences to different sections of the comment and clicked submit before rereading it. After rereading it doesn't read the way I meant what I meant was:
I couldn't agree more with EBay, Etsy, and Amazon (which has a similar policy). Unfortunately Listia does not.
I honestly don't understand how anyone can defend collecting this kind of trash.
In my opinion doing so is lower than being an actual skinhead or neo-nazi.
At least skinheads and neo-nazis have the guts to be open and honest about what and who they are and what they believe in.
Well actually, I would make one exception which I could understand for collecting it, and that is only if you were in the armed forces during WWII and fought to gloriously defeat that piece of garbage which was nazi germany. I can completely understand how they would want it as a war trophy to celebrate what was undoubtedly and unquestionably the greatest and most heroic victory and service to mankind in the history of the human race.
First off....I not an neo anything....second....I would be the age of my Grandfather who fought the Nazis in WW2....D-day to Berlin....He was the one that got me collecting EVERYTHING WW2....also collect WW1,Aviation anything,Titanic anything, models, toy trains, fossils, books, antique radios,ect......Do you say the same thing to military displays at a museum???? Or maybe the people that do reenactments of WW2???? They must all be pure evil rite???? What about Civil War collections from the Confederate side????? Slaves and all....should we destroy all those relics???? Just take all away from anyones eyes that wants to learn history.....While we are at it we can burn all the books about the history of WW2,slavery and anything that's not G rated....where the Japanese in WW2 all innocent of crimes against humanity???? How about the Russians and Stalin????? NAH!!!!! They didn't do anything bad against anyone.....did you know Joseph Stalin killed over 20million of his own people?????? The Japanese did HORRIFIC things to prisoners????? Did you know the Vatican helped many high ranking Nazis escape captivity????? Should we ban that to????? After all...guilty be association rite???? Give you preaching a rest.....
This buckle is also known as an Assman's buckle. From what i see of the stamping it is authentic. I have a neighbor that has one of these buckles, and i did the research on it about a year ago. The one he has is in pristine condition and has a value of about $900.00. You have a nice piece of history here. I do know that some people were affected greatly by what this item represented, and i wish that they would understand that in no way do collectors of such items glorify what this stands for. I believe what we all should get out of the history is that it happened and we learn how to not let it happen again. My heart goes out to anyone directly or indirectly affected by what this item stood for. Know that we live in a time and place that fights to assure no one has to go through anything like it EVER again.
Thank you!!!! I hope they don't do what ebay and etsy do when it comes to WW2 German items! They are a part of our history no matter what people think!
Yes please if another idiot comes on here making a rude remark to you please just block them this way you and the rest of cab enjoy these auctions. You don't deserve to be bullied for what you post on here no one does and in tired of seeing it.
Kap3022 honey guess what that's too bad you can't just live in a bubble and burn and throw away bad things as if they never happened. There are sad and painful reminders of things people see everyday and they are the reason and reminders we need to strive for a better future. You might as well just burn all and any war memorabilia because atrocities have been committed all over this world since the dawn of time and if we just ignorantly and childishly burn everything we learn nothing from our past and those mistakes get made again. The Jewish people aren't the only people to have an atrocity committed against them and yet no one asks to burn any other historical items its ridiculous and you know who else like to burn stuff as though to pretend it didn't exist? HITLER
Great auction! There are tons of members here who WILL freak out about these auctions but for now they are allowed & they don't get deleted like eBay! I agree it is a Great piece of HISTORY!! Watching!!
these items may be part of our history but who wants to remember a time of hell for so many especially jews its a reminder of alot of slaughter items like this are a bad reminder
Well many people do. Museums, collectors, ect. I agree it was a bad time but it happened. Ive met 1,000s of people, including people of the Jewish faith that are very interested in the items and the history of what happened to there familys years ago.
I love reenactments! I am a member of the Collings Foundation. They fly a few of the old warbirds of WW2. B-17,B-24,B-25,Stearman PT17,ME-262,ect. Ive been up in the B-17 and the Stearman Twice!!!! Its amazing!!!! Check out the site!!!!!
WHEN ARE THE STUPID IGNORANT PEOPLE making rude comments all the time on these kinds if auctions going to GET A LIFE!! Seriously you don't like something why take the time to make a rude f*****g comment go get a damn life these are historical artifacts you idiot just like any other WWII item would you throw those away? I collect this stuff and am by no means a "Nazi" or a "Skinhead" or believe if condone their beliefs. GET OVER IT AND GET A LIFE IT'S PATHETIC! People like you are the reason why history repeats itself and people stay ignorant. Don't let these morons deter you great auction great HISTORICAL ITEM because that's what it is
My grandfather was severly injured in ww2 -serving his country and assuring these narrow minded jerks their freedom of speech and my brother still has his bayonet and its a family heirloom and his most prized possession ...history is history.. This is how we learn to overcome past mistakes and do better!!!! You can't hold a grudge against a belt buckle??? NOTHING CHANGES....if.......NOTHING CHANGES. Great auction. Fanned and watching
OMG! I'm fairly new here and I've never come across an item with this many comments. Only thing I have to say to the boo's and jeers...If we don't remember history and learn from it we are bound to have it repeated. This is a good auction. F&W
Thanks a lot!!!!! That means a lot!!!! These type of folks are just to narrow minded and cant see anything past there noses. I deal with dips like this all the time when im selling WW2 German items. It does get old, haha!
I have 2 very nice WW2 German flags. One is a German combat flag about 3.5ft by 2ft. Also a 6-7ft German flag that looks to be WW1. They are mint!!! Not sure if I want to part with them, haha!!!
when someone is victimized like the jews buy the germans they dont need constant reminders if a hainous crime was committed against you would you want constant reminders NO it happen'd yes why would anyone want reminders
If it bothers you than don't look at it. If someone doesn't like this kind of stuff than they wouldn't be looking for it. WW2 is huge as are the collectors and historians that are into it. The Russians killed more people than Hitler did by the way. The Japanese did horrible things to people also. War is hell.
