Spanish moss (Tillandsia usneoides) is a flowering plant that grows upon larger trees, commonly the Southern Live Oak (Quercus virginiana) or Bald Cypres (Taxodium distichum) in the southeastern United States.
This auction is for a plant that is 16-24 inches long and includes a hook for easy hanging indoors or out-nearly anywhere that is not in full sun.

F&W... I don't know if this apply to this particular Tillandsia but i wanted to share the info. In case someone sees the one on the zoo website posted somewhere here on listia they are aware that a permit is needed to posses one of those. Sadly, as most of the native Tillandsia species are either listed as threatened or endangered, it is illegal for anyone to possess one without the correct permit. Removing one from a natural area is also illegal, so don’t even think about it! There are some exotic imported species that can be bought, but please make sure they don’t spread into the environment.
