med folket for fosterlandet translate to 'with the people for their country' according to google translate. ett ore is 'one penny'

Oh, thank you! This is a nice old one too, probably one of the oldest in the collection I'll be selling. Of course, on a lot of them I can't read the darned dates! How's your Urdu?

Oh, I just read the picture of the coin and threw it into google translate. If you have not used it, check out translate.google.com works fairly well. The grammar isn't perfect, but it tends to get it at least close enough that you can have an idea. Glad to help, the bit that i can. =)

I've used that before ... LOL. I have a daughter living in Germany with a host family, and have used it to send them e-mails. Charlotte, my daughter, says the translations are really goofy when you try to do whole sentences. I'm sure they get a kick out of it! But for individual words it works pretty well. My problem is going to be the coins I can't read at all. I've figured out most of the cryllic ones, but the Asian ones will be a bear!

Wow, that's a beautiful coin. Do you have any of the Asian coins listed yet?

I'd love to see them...

No, I don't have them photographed quite yet. I actually am getting so little action on the foreign coins I'm not sure I'm going to fool with them--I spend a lot of time prepping these listings, and if I get less than 50 credits on most of the coins I might just put them on craigslist as a big single lot. I'm going to wait and see how things go when the others end.

I'm reluctant to bid on stuff like money and such because of where I live. Some really stupid people who might try and steal it and even try to use it.

Okay, I'll bite, where DO you live that someone would steal a stinking Swedish penny LOL! You don't have any auctions running so I can't see your location... GET some auctions running girl! No fun shopping on Listia if you can't bid!

All my auctions are wysiwyg (what you see is what you get). I will be away tonight and tomorrow, returning Saturday evening. I can probably get online at some point, but won't be able to respond to comments as quickly as usual.

The coins that ended a few weeks ago got to more than 200 credits, which gave me a lot of confidence. I will be listing them all, but it is going to take me a while. I only have one Irish coin, alas ... I'm waiting for you to let me know when you want me to list it!

Sorry, I mean the coins that ended a few days ago ... all the coin bidders really hold off til the last minute, so it's hard to judge how they will do. With more ending tonight I'll have a better idea of how to list them.
