How big is the pendant? Also, is it goldtone or silvertone? My son is in the Air Force but it might be something I could wear.

It is 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch with silvertone and a good size blue stone in the center. It says "United States Air Force around the stone. It would definitely be something you could wear but you would need a silvertone chain. Good Luck!
