You are looking at a 5 cent piece of mining scrip from the new river company carlisle wva.the coal mine has since close alot of years back.this scrip was given to the miners instead of real money that way they would have to spent it at the company store.it would be great to show the children and grandchildren how people got there pay.thanks for looking and happy bidding
