live plants

I have posted plenty of pictures of my plants in various stages of growth and of all of the pictures are of my own plants. The tops of the leaves are dark green or light green. The bottoms of the leaves are spotted with purple.

If your plants like their environment they will produce actual live replicas of themselves that grow on the tips of the plants leaves. They grow there until they fall off to the ground and become their own plant.

I have found that their color depends on where you plant them. The one i have in full sun is more purple than the others. I have one that is 2 feet tall. The taller they get the more leggy they look. If you like the bushier look pinch them at the top when they have new growth. They can be grown indoors or out. Will die at first frost so you would have to bring them in. I put my in the garage for the winter.

scientific name: Kalanchoe daigremontiana

Kalanchoe daigremontiana syn. Bryophyllum daigremontianum also called Mother of Thousands, Alligator Plant, or Mexican Hat Plant is a succulent plant native to Madagascar. Loves sun. Can stand dry conditions. Flowers in the summer when its really hot. In my experience it only flowers when its very large.

This auction is for 5 babies. I will be shipping bare root in a moist napkin. The babies are small with tiny roots.
