I know it states cotton fabric but is it strong? In looking for a bag for work to carry files etc but for everyday use I need a durable bag. It is a lovely bag. Thanks!

Thank you for taking the time to ask. To answer your question it is very sturdy. It's indeed cotton, but a heavy cotton that could be used for upholstery even. I would say it could handle a 25-30lb daily carry or so, but more than that may wear on the seams.
