was thinking about getting this for our new furbaby of the family, but i personally think it would be cruel to put a shock collar on her. So we picked up a clicker at petsmart and working on training her instead, I do know someone who did use it briefly (about a week) then removed the batteries but kept the collar on so she still thought it would shock her if she barked.

We are using these for oyr barky weiner dogs...it worked after 2 shocks! It has a tone 1st, as a warning & they get that! (:
