So is this radioactive? Will a geiger counter react to it?

Uranium/vaseline is not pure uranium.is none as
depleted uranium.thus a geiger counter (will not)
react to it unless it is a very sensitive piece of
equipment.and even then very little.(have not tried personally.)

Actually depleted uranium was use post 1960s when Uranium glass made a come back! Your piece is Block Optic so it would have been made between 1929 and 1933 when natural uranium was still being used. The uranium amounts are trace however and would take about two tons of this type of glassware to negatively effect a human! I currently have 200 uranium and vaseline glass pieces in my collection and I will be watching this!!!
