The listing, Check for the Alaska Purchase (hi-res). has ended.
Thank you for looking a copy of the check used to pay for Alaska (this is a copy of an item in my personal collection, Front only), which was purchased for $7.2 million which was made payable to the Russian Minister to the United States Edouard de Stoeckl, who negotiated the deal for the Russians. The Second copy is marked to show amount and date, this one will not be sent to you the copy that is unmarked will be sent via email.
Also shown here is the Treaty of Cession, signed by Czar Alexander II, which formally concluded the agreement for the purchase of Alaska from Russia.
Both of which will be delivered to you via email and you can print them out and hang them. These items are truly collectable items for any Numismatist or History Buff.
Since the purchase of Alaska was often referred to as "Sewards Folly", "Seward's icebox" and Andrew Johnson's "polar bear garden." We have included in these photos a picture of Secretary of State William H. Seward, as well as Andrew Johnson.
