Description

The listing, Indian Head Penny 1-Cent - No Date 1859 to 1864? Copper Nickel has ended.

I believe this coin was made somewhere between 1859 and 1864. It is thicker than your normal penny. The date is worn off, but this is still a nice piece of Americana.

What auctiontech means is copper nickel. It looks like it is a copper nickel from what I can tell. If it is, then it was made from 1859-1864. From 1864 to 1909, the metal was replaced with bronze. The copper nickel is also a thicker coin than the modern cent.

Well, thanks for clarifying! It is thicker than a normal cent. So, I will change the auction to reflect that. Thank you very much.
