Description

The listing, Cool but Unknown Gem has ended.

Maybe you rock hounds can help me out here. I have no idea what stone this is! I have never seen a gem that looks to be part amethyst and topaz?

It's very small but maybe rare? You tell me!

I have MANY to list so please check out my auctions in the next few days!

Free shipping without boxes included. Happy Bidding!

You really cannot tell by looking if a stone is natural or dyed. Crystal quartz or precious amethyst. Have you considered finding out how to test or getting them tested? MOHS hardness scale will narrow it down. Do some research before listing, please. To avoid regrets and maybe underselling yourself.

Thank you Alice for the question and information. I gave all of the information I had, which is none really. If I felt these had much value I would NOT have put them on LISTIA, I would have had them checked out, and either kept them, or sold them.
Their cost to me was minimal, so I don't feel that my time researching, cost of appraisal would make them any more valuable. I could put CZ's on here and list them as DIAMOND, but my reputation would be ruined, so I'm always honest and have provided all the info I had. I DO use size comparison where needed, so it apparently did not upload the photo. I'm sorry, I wish someone had pointed that omission out earlier I surely would have done one for sure! Only a few hours left now so sadly, its too late! These are about 3/4 the size of a dime, if that helps!

Me neither! But it is cool! Someone went to a lot of trouble to cut, clean and polish for such a small gem.

Do you know if it's a real stone? Or if it's lab created, man-made, ect?

They were sent to me as genuine gems, and I have no reason to think otherwise. Although I didn't get any paperwork on them to know for absolute certain.

This is definitely ametrine. No doubt about it. Just by looking at the stone I am 100 percent sure its real. Never have seen a lab created ametrine.

Perfect! It is so unusual to see a two toned gem, for me. I hope it's worth a million dollars! Just DON'T TELL ME!
