Description

The listing, Minolta 35mm Film SLR Camera with 80-200mm Macro Focusing Zoom Soligor Lens has ended.

This auction is for a used but pretty nicely maintained Minolta SRT MCII 35mm Film camera with a 80-200mm Soligor macro focus zoom lens. This is a camera from the days when Nikon, Pentax, Olympus, Canon and Minolta made cameras that were all metal, built to last and built like tanks. This is a very nice looking old camera, built to last and feels very substantial to hold!

Everything is in great working order - shutter fires at all speeds, self-timer works great, there is some minor wear due to normal use.

Includes camera strap too!

User manual can be found here:

Not quite sinister2666. The image showing the bottom side of the body shows a circle, probably about 1/2" in diameter. That is a battery opening. The older 35mm's take one, possibly two "button batteries" to run the light meter. If they have a motor drive (this one doesn't) THOSE batteries would be in the drive.

Does it come with a charger of some sort?

thanks for asking! its an older camera, before rechargeable batteries. the shutter and self timer run without a battery - all mechanical. the light meter runs off a px625 battery (sorry, I don't have one)

thanks for your comnents- it does take a small battery to run the light meter but the rest of the camera is mechanical ( I'm sure you already know, just posting for others' benefit). thanks and good luck!

To the seller:
Is the zoom the ONLY lens you have available with this unit? Its a nice looking camera and I know my way around a dark room, but the camera I have currently (which needs replacing) has the Pentax K-mount lenses. Finding standard lens and wide angle is not going to be easy on these older units now. :(

@hatfield604: I do have a 50mm lens in minolta bayonet mount, I just wasn't planning on giving it away with this camera. if you want to bid on this camera with the zoom lens, I should be able to also list the prime lens for a GIN we can agree upon, and ship it along with the camera

does it take film
Jul 24th, 2013 at 1:54:32 PM PDT by
Original
Yep - it's a 35mm film camera. You can buy it at Walmart, CVS, Walgreens if you just want stuff they can develop at those 1 hr photolabs. Other specialized shops still sell many different types of film for b&w, home processing, infrared, etc.
